Lemon Bay Excursion

In the truest sense of finding enjoyment, we went boating with our snowbird friends yesterday. The weather was perfect, the water was not crowded and fun was had by all. We traveled north from Cape Haze on a pontoon boat to look at a very nice piece of property that was for sale. The property has 180 degree views of Lemon Bay facing west. A very nice place indeed.

We then turned south and headed for Stump Pass at the southern tip of Manasota Key. A beautiful place with emerald green water and sugar white sandy beaches with tropical trees and bikinis everywhere. A great place to anchor and enjoy a few drinks and great conversation before heading to a late lunch at the Stump Pass Grill.

After lunch we cruised back to Cape Haze and loaded the car for our return to Bradenton. We took a scenic route up the single lane canopied road on Manasota Key. A beautiful place where there are no commercial businesses except at the southern tip. Old Florida at it's best. A great day that ended as well as it could. But, not one picture was taken......maybe that's why it was so relaxing.
